Tourist Bureau Reflections
Tourist Bureau: Ireland.
- In this assignment we were required to research any location, city or town in the world that was not located inside the United States and create a web page the market the area we chose. We needed to include all information that a traveler would need in order to travel there and persuade them to travel there in the first place. We were supposed to, with the information provided on our website, persuade the class to want to travel to our selected location. After learning how to use animations and embed them in weebly we were required to use at least one animation that we created to add to our website. It was supposed to help persuade the class to travel to our selected location.
- In this project I was able to experience and use new technology skills that I admired but was unable to do myself. I was able to create and add animations using xtranormal.com. I now am able to create my own online cartoon and share it with whomever I chose. This project allowed me to improve my technology skills using weebly tools as well as xtranormal.
- During this assignment I learned the value of patience once again, computers not being my thing. The embedding process and just working with the sensitive wifi in the school caused me a great deal of stress but because there was nothing within my power I could do about the situation I had to be patient.
- I feel as though I used pictures well in this project. My pictures were directly related to the project and added to the appearance of the website. I even gave extra information about Ireland by having pages on what was free to do and tips on how to save money when traveling abroad. I also incorporated a video on Irish Step which were not a requirement for this assignment. When it comes to the information that my website contained I think I did a good job.
- To improve my assignment I could formatted my website better and worked harder with the color problems I was having on the works cited page. Also I feel as though my paragraphs were too bulky and needed to be separated in order to look more like a website.
